A journey that begins with the vibrant energy of an Old Delhi walking tour, where you'll explore the Jama Masjid, the oldest mosque in Delhi and Sheeshganj Gurudwara, where we will gain insights into the Sikh faith. From there, catch an early morning train to Agra, feel the smooth, time-worn marble floors of the Taj Mahal as you witness its breathtaking colour transformations at sunset. Experience the overnight train ride to Varanasi, one of the world's oldest cities, a boat ride along the sacred Ganges River and immerse yourself in the Aarti ceremony on the ghats. Next cross the border into Nepal, where a private air-conditioned bus awaits to transport you to a jungle safari resort in Chitwan. Here, embark on a safari jeep ride through the Chitwan National Park, keeping an eye out for elephant, rhino and the Bengal tiger. In Pokhara, breathe in the crisp mountain air and enjoy a stunning sunrise view of the Himalayas, followed by an evening boat ride on Phewa Lake and a trek to the Peace Pagoda. Discover the charm of Bandipur, an historic quaint town with cobbled streets and a serene atmosphere, before heading to Kathmandu for three enriching days. Explore the ancient Stupa of Swayambhunath, visit the Monkey Temple at sunset for panoramic views, and spend a day at Durbar Square, filled with temples, palaces, and local markets, all while creating unforgettable memories and forging lasting friendships.

Fabulous Landscapes and Unique Accommodation.
Our accommodations will range from 4-5 star hotels, a charming heritage palace with modern comforts in Varanasi, the best of both worlds including a pool, boutique home stays and serene garden resorts, each offering a unique and unforgettable experience. Moving beyond typical tourist paths, we will visit the well-preserved Newari heritage town of Bandipur, where rooms feature balconies with picturesque views of the town. In Pokhara a view of the Phewa Lake, and in Chitwan, your stay will serve as a haven for nature enthusiasts, surrounded by the calming sounds of birds and the occasional sighting of the local rhinos.

Workshops/Masterclasses
The highlight of our tour in Nepal is a visit to a Nepalese painting school, where we participate in a Thangka painting workshop in the vibrant Durbar Square, an area bustling with local arts, crafts, and markets. Famous for carpets, Thangka, Newari woodcarving, Himalayan Nepalese paper, Tibetan handicrafts, Buddhist and Hindu statues and of course we will find the Tibetan prayer flags.

Food Food Food.
Experience the rich culinary heritage of North India and Nepal, celebrated for their unique flavors and cooking traditions. Wandering through colourful bazaars, experiencing the energy of navigating the roads in a tuk-tuk, enjoying chai from terracotta cups at a street vendor, cooling down with kulfi, and immersing ourselves in the local food and culture. In Varanasi, a foodie highlight of your journey will be learning to prepare a traditional Indian lunch, delving into cherished family recipes and experience to bring home and share with your friends and family.

In Nepal, don't miss the opportunity to taste essential dishes such as dal bhat, a comforting combination of lentil soup and rice served with vegetables, as well as momos, a personal favorite, and kheer, a delightful sweet rice pudding infused with coconut, cashews, raisins, saffron, cardamom, and almonds.

Can highly recommend going on a Dana Kinter Art tour. It was culturally diverse and an aesthetic kaleidoscope that was immensely inspiring.  The combination of seeing the big historic places and immersing in communities to have hands on workshops shared with a fantastic group of women was a life changing experience. I’ll cherish it forever and ever. Kim (sa) Mar25'
