Our trip to India was a rich and immersive experience, full of colour, flavour, arts and crafts, and fascinating history. Dana and Javed were fantastic guides, always keeping the group engaged. Their local knowledge ensured we experienced both highlights and hidden gems. Thanks to their thoughtful planning, the trip was a memorable experience that felt both adventurous and comfortable all at the same time! I’d never travelled with a tour group before, but I am now a convert. Dana and Javed were amazing hosts, making the chaos of India seem so effortless. So many things to do and see, our days were jam packed!  Touring all the ancient sites was totally mind blowing and all the guides were full of so much information. My absolute highlight was the Taj Mahal and wandering around the streets of Udaipur. Javed is a skilled negotiator and super cool! Dana is an absolute gem and so lovely. Bring on a trip to Goa!!  

I had a great first adventure exploring India with Dana and Javed. It was the perfect introduction to such a unique, vibrant and chaotic country, with the addition of some artistic touches. Dana’s easygoing nature and love for India shone through, while Javed’s knowledge and storytelling brought every place to life. At every moment, I felt completely looked after, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable.

The balance of exploring cultural landmarks, from stunning palaces and forts to wandering old town streets, alongside hands-on workshops felt like a great mix.

It was wonderful to travel around North India with Dana and a bunch of new friends. I loved watching the landscape pass as we travelled, learning about the cities and countryside in our tours, trying new foods and filling my suitcase with treasures for home. A delightful escape from real life that I hope I’ll be able to do again soon!

Travelling through India with Dana was one of those experiences that stays with you long after you’ve unpacked your bags. It’s not just about seeing the sights, it's for people who love art, craft and design. I joined because I was drawn to the idea of travelling with other creative people, and it turned out to be exactly that. 

We saw the big icons, the Taj Mahal at sunrise, Jaipur’s colourful Amber Palace, the beauty of Udaipur’s City Palace along with crazy local markets, but what made it really special for me were the hands-on workshops.

I loved visiting the wood-block printing studio and seeing all the different skills around the village. Indigo dyeing at Nila House was fun and the building and creations are exquisite.  I particularly loved the pichwai painting class and could have stayed there all day.

Dana and Javed made everything feel effortless. She is warm, attentive and incredibly organised, adding all those thoughtful extra touches that made the journey feel personal and cared for. The group dynamic felt more like travelling with friends than strangers. Javed is so knowledgeable and relaxed. 

What an amazing experience I have had with Dana and Javed, from Delhi through Rajasthan. From the first contact with Dana, I was excited and absorbed in this incredible journey – I have nothing but thanks and gratitude – we were all so well looked after, had so many opportunities to see, feel, smell, touch and taste India. I am still processing the trip, so much happened, we laughed, listened, walked, ate and rested (in very special accommodation) - oh, and I am in love with tuk-tuk travel…toot toot.

Diwali was the great light show, full of fun and explosive. The workshops and the people – the artisans – so generous, skilled and patient, how lucky was I to have had these experiences. India has been a lifetime bucket list destination and this tour with Dana has allowed me to tick it off. It was a wonderful tour that allowed me to get a real taste of Indian culture. Our tour guide, Javed, is an experienced guide and showed us a good variety of places from Forts, Palaces and Castles to Farm and Village visits. We learnt about great historical moments and stood in awe at wonderful monuments. We met the farmers on their land and learnt about the crops they grow then were privileged to visit the home of a villager nearby. We got to experience every mode of transport, a favourite being the tuk tuk where we got up close to the crazy driving skills of the Indian drivers. The art workshops were all interesting, we learnt a lot and came away with our own masterpieces. The colours, the noise, the smiling faces we encountered everywhere, the cows on the roads, the shopping, Diwali, just so much was experienced it’s difficult to convey.

The majesty of the sites visited, the rawness and energy of modern life, the slippery seconds my mind was able to grasp the momentous history. This tour was the perfect way to wholly drop into an experience, leaving the focus sapping complexities of travel in the capable hands of Dana and Javed. I travelled with my sister to see India and can highly recommend Dana's tour.  Her attention to detail and ensuring everyones comfort made this trip special.  Our accomodation was excellent and Dana and our Indian guide, Javed, were a wealth of knowledge.  Highly recommended.

More than just a trip through Northern India, Dana led us on an unforgettable tour of uniquely curated experiences and specialised workshops.  Her passion and enthusiasm for India was infectious. Whether it was visiting iconic sights, meeting talented artisans and everyday people or being immersed in creative workshops, she made sure that all in the group of like minded travellers felt included, welcomed and had fun. Capably led by Javed, as well as seeing the classical sights (from monuments to markets), staying in unforgettable accommodation, experiencing many forms of transport and eating delicious food, we came away with a deeper insight into culture and life in contemporary India. Javed’s knowledge and experience teamed perfectly with Dana’s excellent communication skills ensuring everything was thoroughly organised. India has long been a bucket list destination for me and Dana’s tour met all the expectations and more.

I thought you were an excellent host. In the first days when I was unsure how I fit in, your cheerful friendly way was especially lovely. Javed exceeded my expectations. The trip ran so smoothly. Things always go wrong on a trip but except for the hotel bill in Japuir, I never noticed any snafus'. As the guest everything was taken care of and I was free to enjoy and be in the moment. Bijaipur. It was charming. The old world castle, the pool, the flowers, getting to wander at our own pace in the village. The dinners were delicious and I loved watching the fellow make Naan. The two nights here were so relaxing. Thank you for doing such a thorough job of organizing this trip, keeping us safe and showing us many lovely places.

Dana carefully curated a wonderful tour that incorporated all of the main attractions in addition to several really special artistic and cultural activities. I loved it and this is definitely the best organised tour I have ever been on.

I’m normally happy to plan my own trips but, was hesitant to tackle India, When I saw that Dana would be hosting a tour to Rajasthan, I jumped at the chance.  I’d met Dana a number of years ago through an art gallery that we were both involved in and trusted her judgement on places to visit and experiences to be had and, her ability to be well organised. I wasn’t sure what to expect but, the trip was beyond anything I could have imagined!  We visited and learned about some wonderful old architecture, had fantastic local art experiences, ate delicious food (some of which we cooked ourselves), had great conversations and lots of laughs. Dana was warm, caring and well  organised and Javed, our local guide, was efficient, knowledgeble, made sure that everything was looked after and was happy to share his culture with us (along with being able to take a bit of teasing!). Travelling with our group, including Dana and Javed, was like travelling with friends but, with friends that, mostly, I hadn’t met before!

India exceeded my expectations, captured my heart, and enriched my life, with its extensive and remarkable history, incredibly impressive historic sites, awe-inspiring architecture, fascinating people and culture, deeply respected faiths, time-honoured traditions, and simply amazing food.

Our tour group leader, Dana, was fantastic; enthusiastic, positive, encouraging, supportive, intuitive, interesting, genuine, and frankly, even better than I imagined.

Each one of the tour group members were the icing on an already outstanding cake, and sincerely, more than I could have ever hoped for.

This was our first experience of traveling on a tour and I’m not sure we’ll ever be able to find another tour that lives up to this. From the itinerary including all the workshops, castles, palaces, restaurants and fabulous accommodation, to the relaxed and happy vibes Dana and Javed fostered in the group. We loved not having to think about a thing and Dana and Javed being one step ahead always knowing what we wanted or needed before we knew ourselves! My daughter and I dreamed of visiting India together when she finished school,  this was the ultimate adventure and we can’t thank Dana and Javed enough for bringing this dream to life and making it better than we ever dared to dream 

Absolutely loved it. I have done many tours world wide, and this has been one of my favourites. Big call because they have all been great. Loved the mix of traditional tourist sites ie. palaces, Taj Mahal etc. and the immersive experiences ie art workshops and Holi celebrations. I think the mix between the two was just right. If I had to name my favourite parts, seeing the majestic Taj Mahal and my interaction with local people were key for me (Holi festival and local farm visit in Udaipur).

Dana's tour of India was so wonderful. We saw so many extraordinarty things and were able to participate in creative workshops that were culturally immersive ansd inspiring. I would go again in a flash! Dana looked after us and also gave us opportunitues to venture out unguided - the perfect mix.
